Newborn Document Support
We assist Japanese families with preparing all required newborn documents, including document review, case assessment, and step-by-step guidance for applying for the baby’s travel document.
If parents are unable to be present in the U.S., we can also provide POA (Power of Attorney) support to help handle the application process on your behalf.
How It Works
1Prepare U.S. newborn documents
This includes the baby’s birth certificate and supporting documents related to the parents.
2Confirm nationality status under Japanese law
Under Japanese law, nationality is generally determined by the parents.
If one parent is a Japanese national, the child may be eligible for Japanese nationality, but notification of birth must be submitted.3Prepare parent documents
Both parents need to provide passports and proof of legal status.
4Complete application materials
Prepare all required forms and supporting documents based on your case.
5Submit application at the Chinese Consulate
Schedule an appointment and submit the application in person.
6Receive the Travel Document
Once approved, the baby will receive a Travel Document for entry into China.
